Teaching has run alongside engineering practice for two decades, in forms ranging from technical editing of published books to authoring of structured agent tooling.

Published work as teacher

• Technical editor on two web-development books: Frahaan Hussain’s Responsive Web Design by Example and Shi Chuan’s HTML5 Mobile Development Cookbook. A book-editing credit means an evaluating author trusted the technical judgment enough to pay for it.
• Over 80 Claude Code skills authored with declared test-contracts; 2 published as open source at claude-a11y-skills. Each skill specifies what “right” looks like and routes failures to remediation rather than silent passes. The test-contracts function as living curriculum: behavior is gated on inspection, not assertion. Coverage spans multi-agent team design, agent-orchestration patterns, skill-authoring quality frameworks, evaluation governance, and methodology synthesis.
• Two-year co-chair of an Allyship employee resource group. Structured discussion practice and inclusive-engineering guidance for a cross-functional engineering organization.
• Ten years teaching traditional singing and tradition-adjacent songwriting at the Center for Irish Music in St. Paul (concluded). Different domain, related engineering: progression design, edge-case identification, accommodation of varied learner trajectories across cohorts and individual instruction.

Forthcoming

A cohort course on the AI Reliability Layer methodology is in scoping for late 2026 or early 2027, distilling the verification, calibration, adversarial-robustness, and recovery patterns from the Reliability Layer manifesto and grounded in the Veridi methodology corpus. Format and platform are not yet decided.
